What do you find is the hardest part about balancing being a mum and a business owner?

Taking time out for me, myself and only me. The “mental load” is heavy and it’s difficult to switch off.

What is your biggest motivation in business?

Creative expression and being able make a difference to someone’s business.

What’s your top tip for other working mums?

Adjust your expectations with the upkeep of home. That load of washing can wait. Eggs on toast for dinner is actually ok.  Know your limits. If you dedicate too much time at work, family life will suffer.

What are your Mother’s Day plans this year?

My ideal plans are: Sleeping in till 8am? Opening some thoughtful gifts (hint, hint daddy) and reading cute handmade cards from the kids. Followed by a relaxed lunch out with my family.

What do you find is the hardest part about balancing being a mum and a business owner?

When it is school holidays this is the most challenging time for me as I want to spend quality with my daughter but also manage & run my business at the same time.

What is your biggest motivation in business?

Everything I do is purpose driven and is in line with my bigger mission which is; to help people around the world believe that their potential is limitless. I truly believe that we can be whomever we want to be & construct this within ourselves. I am so passionate about sharing this message and making an impact on people’s lives. I am on a mission to make a global impact. This impact has already come to life.

What’s your top tip for other working mums?

Many working mother’s feel guilty when they are working & are not around their children as much as they would like to be. They may miss school events, may not have the time to bake their children’s birthday cake from scratch or may not even have time to prepare a freshly cooked meal every night. I want all working mothers that are feeling this way to understand that their existence on this earth matters too. It is so important to be able to work, it is important to do the things that bring them fulfilment & joy, it is important to act on their dreams so that they can build resilience & confidence within themselves and it is important to have a life outside of being a mother. I truly believe that actions speak louder than words & this applies to parenting. The skills that these working mothers are teaching their children through their actions is invaluable. They are teaching their children self-love, self-respect and that it is ok to work on your dreams & creating the life that you want. Teaching a child from a young age that they are in control of their future is a powerful life lesson.

What are your Mother’s Day plans this year?

My entire family will be going out for a traditional Lebanese dinner. I love spending time with my family & spoiling my mother who is our Queen.

What’s the business that you run?

3 Phase Marketing – A Digital Marketing Agency

What do you find is the hardest part about balancing being a mum and a business owner?

Being present where ever I am and switching gears from parent to business owner.

What is your biggest motivation in business?

Getting results for our clients. Learning and continual improvement is a great motivator for me too.

What’s your top tip for other working mums?

Guilt is a wasted emotion. Eliminate this useless emotion. I believe in quality parenting. Being with them 24/7 doesn’t necessarily make you a better parent. But when you are with them be present, engaged and involved in their activities and interests. Be proud of being a working parent. Your actions are far more influential than your words. Instilling a good work ethic into your children will last a lifetime.

What are your Mother’s Day plans this year?

Long lunch my family soaking up all of the love and attention.
